Go to the service to apply for one or more of the pensions and benefits:

Québec Pension Plan (QPP)

  • Death benefit
  • Surviving spouse's pension
  • Orphan's pension

Public-sector pension plans (RREGOP, PPMP, etc.)

  • Survivors' benefits

After filing your application, you must send proof of death online:

  • Attestation of death
    issued by the funeral home

    or

  • Death certificate
    issued by the Directeur de l'état civil

You will need:

  • proof of death (attestation of death issued by the funeral home or a death certificate issued by the Directeur de l'état civil);
  • the Social Insurance Number (SIN) of the deceased
  • your Social Insurance Number (SIN).
