Becoming involved in the administration of your pension plan
- If your pension plan is administered by a pension committee, as is the case for most
defined contribution plans and defined benefits plans, you can
become a member of the pension committee.
- If you participate in a
simplified pension plan (SIPP), you should know that it is administered by a financial institution. However, if 50 members or more work for the same employer, a retirement information committee can be set up if a majority of the members request one. Thus you can
become a member of the information committee. This committee act as intermediary between the members and the financial institution that administers your
SIPP.
